OneRepublic to perform during LSU halftime
BATON ROUGE - LSU athletics officials announced Monday the rock band OneRepublic will perform at halftime of the LSU-Florida football game this year on Oct. 17.
LSU Director of Athletics and Vice Chancellor Joe Alleva said a second "world-renowned" act would also be announced soon to perform at a different Southeastern Conference game.
Alleva said OneRepublic will take the field at halftime alongside the Golden Band from Tigerland as part of a Super Bowl-styled performance.
"This is a unique opportunity that we are excited to bring to Tiger Stadium this fall," said Alleva. "We continue to look for ways to enhance and compliment what is already the best atmosphere in college football and we think that these two performances will be something that our fans will enjoy."
LSU worked with College Live to develop the performances, which will also be integrated with the LSU band.
LSU said a limited number of tickets remain for all home games. For more information, go to LSUTix.net.
