GONZALES - Random people were shot in a feud between a person and a shooter outside the Waffle House on Hwy. 30 overnight.
Police said Saturday one person was killed in the triple shooting sometime after midnight, early Saturday morning.
Willie Bridges, 19, of Metairie, was killed.
A surviving victim is a juvenile, police said, and is in stable condition at a hospital. The third victim, also a juvenile, is in critical condition. At least one of the surviving two victims is from LaPlace, police said.
Police said the shooting happened in the parking lot and the shooter was targeting someone and ended up shooting three people. One of the three people died.
The shooter ran from the scene and has not been caught. As of Saturday afternoon, police did not have a suspect.
"For the past couple of weeks... the parking lot has been full with people," said Bernadette Johnson, who lives nearby. "Police been having to come disperse the crowds."
Two of the three victims were taken away by ambulance, including Bridges. The third victim was taken to a hospital by someone from the scene of the shooting.
Video given to WBRZ shows a crowd gathered beside the two victims who were left at the scene before police showed up. People were shouting and trying to shove the victims who were on the ground, apparently trying to see if they were alive.
The video appeared to have been recorded from the balcony of the hotel next to the restaurant.

DENHAM SPRINGS – Days after the owner of Tiki Tubing was arrested on molestation charges, his wife was arrested in another sex crimes investigation, sources told WBRZ.
Patricia Dianne Fore was booked into jail Friday morning on sexual battery charges. According to arrest information, the crimes are related to “rubbing or touching.”
Sources said her husband, John Fore, accompanied her to the jail when she surrendered earlier Friday. She was released on a $25,000 later that afternoon.
Sources told The WBRZ Investigative Unit that Patricia Fore's charges stemmed from a 2019 complaint that resurfaced in wake of her husband's arrest this week.
In statement released Friday evening, Sheriff Jason Ard admitted his department should have taken the case more seriously when it was first reported.
"Following John Fore’s arrest, the 2019 case was brought to my attention. On review of that case, I realized that the case had not been pursued as diligently as it should have been. The family of the victim has been made aware of this action," Sheriff Ard said in a statement.
John Fore was released from jail on bond after being arrested Monday on sexual battery charges involving a juvenile. Fore is accused of inappropriately touching a teenage boy earlier in the month at his home.
Sources told WBRZ, Patricia Fore’s arrest is tied to a separate investigation.

Also this month, Tiki Tubing and Fore were sued over the death of an LSU baseball player’s father on the Amite River.
