Thunderstorms passing through soggy southeast La.
BATON ROUGE – A thunderstorm warning has been issued for parts of our area until 8 p.m. Thursday.
The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm watch for parishes north of Interstate 12 as well as Point Coupee Parish until 8 p.m.
The National Weather Service in New Orleans issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parishes near Baton Rouge until 1:15 p.m. Thursday.
One or two storms could produce hail especially north of the interstates, which is where the overall rain chances are highest.

The NW issued a severe thunderstorm warning near Morganza around 12:30 p.m. Thursday. That warning expired at 1:15 p.m. Residents were advised to seek shelter and stay away from windows.
A second warning was issued for parts of St. Helena and Tangipahoa parishes. That warning expired at 2:45 p.m.
