Rice beats LSU 10-6 to force deciding Game 7 on Tuesday
BATON ROUGE - The Rice Owls forced a deciding game seven in the Baton Rouge Regional by beating LSU 10-6 on Monday night in Alex Box Stadium.
The Tigers and Owls will play at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday to decide who advances to Super Regional play this coming weekend.
The Owls struck early and routinely scoring three runs in three different innings never trailing in their second game of the day.
Earlier on Monday Rice took out Southeastern 15-0 to advance to the Regional championship game, and with their win over LSU the Owls forced a deciding game 7.
The LSU Tigers hit pretty well in the contest outpacing the Owls 15-13 in hits, however the Tigers left 12 runners on base.
