Jon Bridgers of the Cajun Navy and Watson native invited to State of the Union by president
WATSON – Jon Bridgers, the founder of the Cajun Navy 2016 nonprofit organization, will be one of the some fifteen people invited to join First Lady Melania Trump while President Trump gives the State of the Union address this week.
Bridgers, of Watson, was invited by the president, the White House revealed Monday afternoon.
The Cajun Navy helped rescue people during the August 2016 flood in the Baton Rouge area and also in Texas and Southwest Louisiana after Hurricane Harvey in 2017.
The State of the Union is Tuesday in Washington, D.C., before Congress.
