Homecoming Parade yet another attraction on busy weekend for Jaguar Nation
BATON ROUGE - Jaguar Spirit is expected to reach fever pitch at the upcoming Southern University Homecoming Parade and event ahead of the Jags’ meeting on the field with the Prairie View A&M University Panthers.
With music and dancing just as integral to the Jaguar Nation as the men suited-up on the pitch, there will be plenty of tunes and good times ahead as fans get jacked up for this season’s Homecoming game. A coronation, costume contest, concerts, on campus decoration contest, Greek show and comedy show are scheduled to contribute to what should be an even that few fans of Southern will want to miss.
The SU Homecoming Parade is scheduled to kick off Saturday at 8 a.m. at Scenic Hwy and Harding Blvd in the Scotlandville community. Attendees of previous Jaguar parades should note that this year’s route differs from that of previous years.
