BATON ROUGE – Police arrested a woman after they say she entered a victim's home and attacked someone with a box cutter.

According to court documents, Baton Rouge Police officers were dispatched to a home on Duke Street in refrence to a stabbing around 2:34 p.m. Sunday. At the scene, police say a victim had several stab wounds in her chest and left arm.

The victim told investigators that 56-year-old Theresa Ross walked into her home without her permission and began stabbing her. 

The victim also said there were three small children inside the home at the time of the attack. Ross fled the home before police arrived.

BRPD located Ross on North Acadian Thruway and placed her under arrest. Court documents show that Ross said she did not attack the victim. 

Ross was booked on attempted second-degree murder and home invasion at the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
