Updates on road closures due to area flooding

Here are the latest interstate closures as of 4:20 p.m.:

  • I-10 West remains closed to traffic at Highland Road due to flooding. Traffic is being diverted onto Highland Road.
  • I-10 East remains closed to traffic at Bluebonnet Boulevard due to flooding. Traffic is being diverted onto Bluebonnet Boulevard.
  • I-12 East and West remain closed between LA 43 (Albany) and I-55 (Hammond) due to flooding.
  • I-12 West is closed at Range Avenue due to flooding.
  • I-12 East is closed at US 61 (Airline Highway) to US 190 (Covington) due to flooding in the area.
  • I-10 East at US 165 is closed to traffic due to flooding in the area. Traffic is being diverted onto US 165.

Interstate 12 eastbound is closed in both directions from Airline Highway in East Baton Rouge Parish to US 190 in St. Tammany Parish due to high water. I-12 westbound traffic is being diverted to southbound US 190 to the Causeway Bridge. Tolls are temporarily suspended.

Alternate routes:

• I-12 westbound should take I-59 north to I-20

• I-12 eastbound should take US 61 south to I-10 east

• If possible travelers should take I-20 to travel through Louisiana.
