BATON ROUGE- Heritage Ranch is founding a Christian Children's home to serve boys across the Greater Baton Rouge area.

The home will serve boys between the ages of 13 and 17 who are in the middle of family crises that they need respite from. The new facility will provide housing, counseling and case management. The ultimate goal of the home is to reunite the young men with their families.

Heritage Ranch hopes to eventually extend their services to boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 18 years old.

The home will offer healthy living conditions to children who are going through personal and family crises. Candidates for the home can be referred by family, social service agencies, schools, churches or through the foster care system.

Heritage Ranch is asking for donations to help fund the house and make the Christian Children's Home a reality. A gala is being held on Friday, September 11th at the Renaissance Hotel in Baton Rouge. The event starts at 6 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased at the Heritage Ranch website. Prices are listed below.

Individual Ticket: $85
Couple Ticket: $150
Raffle Ticket:$20
