BATON ROUGE – Firefighters responded to reports of a house fire on Pembroke Street in Baton Rouge Friday afternoon.

The fire call was issued after 6:20 p.m. at the intersection of 72nd Street and Pembroke Street. Curte Monte with the Baton Rouge Fire Department said upon arrival, about one fourth of the trailer was on fire. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire, Monte said.

According to officials, the cause of the fire is still undetermined, but investigators do not suspect foul play.

Officials said that while the fire was close to an earlier fire on Kaufman St., investigators do not believe they are related.
