Authorities arrest parents of missing 9-year-old Evangeline boy
EVANGELINE PARISH- The Evangeline Parish Sheriffs Office have arrested the parents of a missing nine-year-old boy.
According to KATC Paul Thibodeaux, 45, and Minette Thibodeaux, 45 were booked Sunday for cruelty to a juvenile.
The two were arrested after police found their son, nine-year-old Bryson Thibodeaux malnourished and in horrible living conditions.
Bryson originally went missing Friday afternoon, the Evangeline Parish Sheriffs Office launched a search team to retrieve the boy.
Louisiana State Police also issued a Level II Endangered/Missing Child Media Advisory on behalf of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office which was later canceled.
According to the Sheriff's Office, Bryson reportedly left his home on foot around noon on Friday and never came back.
Once police found the boy and saw his condition Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services were immediately contacted.

DCFS officials later took custody of the Bryson and his 8-year-old sister.
