Update: Suspect arrested after fatal shooting on Parnell Drive
BATON ROUGE - One person has been arrested after an early morning shooting left one person dead on Parnell Drive Sunday.
The Baton Rouge Police Department, in collaboration with Tangipahoa Police, have arrested Taher Toom, 53, of Hammond.
According to BRPD, the shooting occurred around 1:45 a.m. in the 12000 block of Parnell Drive.
The victim, 50-year-old Zakaria Toom of Baton Rouge, was located inside a residence on Parnell Drive suffering from apparent gunshot injuries. Toom died at the scene.
