THIBODAUX- A 19-year-old female is the victim of shooting that happened late Tuesday night. This was the second shooting incident in the Marydale community on Tuesday, and the third shooting in seven days.

According to the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a shooting on Park Avenue in Thibodaux on Tuesday night.

The victim was found unresponsive in the passenger's seat of an SUV with a gunshot wound to the head.

She was brought to Thibodaux Regional Medical Center for treatment, and was later transported to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge. The victim remains in critical condition.
