Rising water, highway flooding reported in rural East Baton Rouge Friday
PRIDE – Swelling creeks and streams flooded highways in northern East Baton Rouge overnight, prompting closures and alerts in rural areas Friday morning.
The Pride Volunteer Fire Department posted road closures on its Facebook page.
Carson Road and Pride Baywood Road experienced flooding.
The fire department posted pictures of water covering the roads and warned drivers to not cross flooded areas.
