ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. - A young boy's singing tribute to four prison employees killed in October has taken social media by storm.

The four guards were killed in an attempted prison break at Pasquotank Correctional on Oct. 12.

In the video posted by Ganelle Sutton, young Abel E. sings his own rendition of "What the World Needs Now" while holding up cards showing the names of each guard killed: Veronica Darden, Justin Smith, Wendy Shannon and Geoffrey Howe.

Eight other employees and four prisoners were also hurt in the incident.

"Our community is hurting. The answer is love. God is love. I dedicated this song to the victims and their families," Abel E. says in the video.

The video was shared last weekend and has since been viewed more than 200,000 times.
