Deputies open up New Iberia drive-by shooting investigation
NEW IBERIA - Detectives asked for the public’s help Friday morning in identifying a suspect who fired several shots into an occupied residence in New Iberia Thursday night.
The Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office says a suspect reportedly opened fire on a home in the 900 block of Pershing Street at some point during the night. No injuries were reported in connection with the gunfire.
Detectives said a white, older model Chevrolet Impala was seen in the area at the time of the incident. However, investigators have yet to determine if the vehicle was involved in the shooting.
