Deputies arrest Gonzales man accused of cyber stalking
GONZALES - Sheriff's deputies in Ascension Parish reported Wednesday morning the arrest of a Gonzales man accused of cyber stalking.
30-year-old Keith Carlin turned himself into authorities shortly before 10 a.m. after a warrant for his arrest was issued by deputies after an investigation revealed that Carlin was sending harassing and threatening text messages to someone. He was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail on charges of cyber stalking for threatening messages and threats to inflict bodily harm upon the victim.
During the investigation, deputies also learned that Carlin went to the victim's workplace and physically assaulted the victim in front of other employees at the business.
As of this writing, no bond has been set.
