Cause of Fairwood Drive house fire undetermined
BATON ROUGE - Firefighters are working to determine the cause of a fire at a residence in the 3900 block of Fairwood Drive early Tuesday afternoon.
The Baton Rouge Fire Department was on the scene just before 2:30 p.m. and had the fire under control in a little more than 10 minutes. The house was fully engulfed in flames by the time firefighters arrived.
Fire investigators say a family of nine was in the house when the fire started, but all were able to exit the home safely with no injuries reported.
The house was a total loss. The cause of the fire is undetermined and remains under investigation.
