Ascension school teacher accused of rape; investigation involves multiple teens
ST. AMANT - A high school teacher was booked for rape after he was accused of sexually abusing multiple teenagers.
According to the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office, deputies arrested Rory Fore, 53, for first-degree rape after a 16-year-old girl came forward with the allegations. Fore confessed to having sex with the 16-year-old as well as a 17-year-old girl, landing him an additional charge for carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
Fore is a teacher at St. Amant High School, though the APSO said the charges were not related to Fore's job. The APSO said it was "working closely" with the Ascension Parish School System during the investigation.
"As soon as we found out this was a school teacher, we immediately contacted the school, just to make them aware," Donald Capello from APSO said. "Now from what we learned in the investigation, this did not have anything to do with the school. It was not at the school, it did not have anything to do with the school."
Jail records show he's being held on a total bond of $1,050,000 as of Friday.
