PRAIRIEVILLE - The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office says a van that ended up in Bayou Manchac was stolen.

In a Facebook post shared Thursday, Acadian Custom Cabinets said the van and tools were stolen in the middle of the night Wednesday. 

Photos from the scene show what appears to be a submerged SUV in the water.

It took several hours for workers from APSO, Wildlife and Fisheries, and Lake Galvez Fire Rescue to pull the van from the water.

Deputies on the scene said no one was in the van.
