Accident on Essen Lane causing heavy traffic backups
BATON ROUGE - Traffic is slowly creeping near Essen Lane at United Plaza Boulevard after an accident between at least two vehicles.
The incident occurred on Essen Lane heading northbound around 5 p.m. Those lanes finally cleared at 6:15 p.m.
Traffic is still backed up at this time.
EMS says no injuries have been reported. No word on what caused the accident.
