2 men cited with taking buck illegally in Madison Parish
TALLULAH - Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Enforcement agents cited two men on alleged hunting violations in Madison Parish.
The agency said in a news release that agents cited David Graham, of Waverly, and Jeremy Southern, of Pioneer, with hunting deer during illegal hours with artificial light and hunting from a public road. Graham also was cited with discharging a firearm from a public road.
The news release says agents received a tip that a nine-point buck was allegedly taken at night by the men.
Hunting deer during illegal hours with artificial light brings a fine and up to 120 days in jail. Hunting from a public road carries a fine and up to 60 days in jail. Discharging a firearm from a public road brings a fine and up to 90 days in jail.
