Woman reportedly shot at masked, armed individual in confrontation in Tigerland early Thursday
BATON ROUGE - Police are investigating an incident at an apartment complex in a Tigerland neighborhood that led to gunfire early Thursday morning.
The Baton Rouge Police Department said a woman who lived at the apartment complex on Jim Taylor Drive, located off Alvin Dark Avenue, was returning home from work when she saw someone with a gun and a ski mask approach her. She retrieved her own gun and began shooting at the individual, and in the course, fell and injured her hand.
BRPD previously reported someone had been shot in the confrontation but later found the woman had not been shot. It was unclear if the masked individual was shot, as they fled the scene before officers arrived.
