BATON ROUGE – A driver who failed to yield at a stop sign caused a deadly crash Friday evening, Baton Rouge Police said.

The crash happened at the intersection of Beechwood Drive and Sherwood Street around 5 p.m.  Tonquincia Davis, 25, died.

Police said a 29-year-old driving a luxury car hit Davis' 1999 sedan.  Davis died at the scene, police said.  The other driver was hurt and taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Alcohol and drugs are not suspected as being a factor in this crash.

Police did not release details about if any charges were filed.  They said the investigation continues.
