Jailer fired over sexual harassment complaint
PORT ALLEN - A West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office jailer was fired following a sexual harassment complaint, WBRZ learned Tuesday.
The department declined to release the former employee's name, but said an internal investigation was conducted and the jailer was released from their employment. The jailer touched another employee inappropriately, a department spokesperson said.
The sheriff's office did not release specific information about the work history of the fired jailer, but said the individual had worked for the sheriff's office for "just a couple of years."
