BRPD says 57-year-old man found shot-to-death Monday was homeless
BATON ROUGE- A homeless man is dead after an early morning shooting in the 1000 block of Coolidge Street.
The incident happened before 6 a.m. Monday morning. A witness at the scene told WBRZ he heard several shots, silence, then more gunfire about 10 minutes later.
Police later identified the victim as 57-year-old Jerry Johnson, a homeless man. BRPD says investigators still have no motive or suspect in the shooting.
Just spoke with a witness who lives nearby. Told me he heard 5 rounds, silence, and then 5 more rounds.
