Livingston parish Relay for Life
LIVINGSTON- It's a relay that ignites the community against cancer, and it's coming to Livingston parish.
Hundreds of people will gather in Denham Springs to honor cancer survivors, their caregivers, and to pay tribute to those for whom the cure did not come soon enough.
The American Cancer Society Relay For Life ignites team spirit among participants and works to raise funds used to save lives and help comfort those living with cancer. It's an overnight celebration where people can take turns walking or running around a track to raise money.
It's a great event for people to come out with their friends and family for a worthy cause. It reminds people that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, and those who face cancer are not alone.
The Livingston Parish Relay For Life will be held this Friday, April 17 at the Denham Springs High School football field from 5 p.m. to midnight.
