BRPD: Woman found fatally shot inside home near Goodwood
BATON ROUGE - Police are investigating after a woman was found shot to death inside her home off LaSalle Avenue early Monday morning.
According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, 29-year-old Mai Nguyen was found dead at the Carlton Place Condominiums on LaSalle Avenue shortly after midnight. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the East Baton Rouge coroner, Nguyen died from two gunshots to the head. The coroner's office says she had been dead for at least eight to 12 hours before she was found.
Police say she may have been shot in a robbery, though there are no suspects at this time.
