HAMMOND - A Ponchatoula man was arrested Tuesday after allegedly shooting two people at a bar in Hammond over the weekend. 

The Hammond Police Department said 23-year-old Jack Smith from Ponchatoula went to the Legend's Sports Bistro & Billiards shortly after 1:30 a.m. Sunday. Two people were hurt in the shooting. 

Smith was arrested and booked for two counts of attempted second-degree murder, one count of illegal discharge of a weapon and five counts of aggravated criminal damage to property.
