Sugarcane truck crashes into house in Assumption Parish
NAPOLEONVILLE - Sheriff’s deputies are still trying to figure out what caused a sugarcane truck to crash into a house on Hwy 1 south of Napoleonville around noon Friday.
Deputies said the wreck happened where Hwy 1 intersects with Hwy 400. While on the scene, deputies advised motorists who would be traveling in the area to slow down and remain aware of first responders.
Investigators said it doesn’t appear the truck driver was injured, and no one was in the house at the time of the crash.
Deputies have yet to determine what caused the truck driver to lose control of the vehicle.
