PORT HUDSON - A second suspect has been arrested in connection to the deadly shooting that left a Zachary High School student dead at an ATV trail ride the night of December 2.

Earlier today, officials arrested a second gunman, 23-year-old Kennon Hollman. Hollman was seen fleeing the scene in a Silver Dodge 2500 truck hauling an ATV trailer.

When homicide detectives conducted interviews, they received similar word about shots being fired by two people at the event.

Detectives caught a break when one witness provided a photograph of Hollman's truck and license plate. From there, investigators were able to track Hollman down and use photo identification to further link him to the shooting. Hollman was then arrested and charged with principal first degree murder as well as a felony weapons count.

Police are still unsure of which suspect is responsible for the murder of 16-year-old La'Taurus Smith.

Officials say this is still an ongoing investigation.
