Saints player arrested, accused of driving drunk in New Orleans
NEW ORLEANS - Saints cornerback P.J. Williams was arrested on accusations of driving drunk in New Orleans early Wednesday morning, WWL-TV reports.
Authorities say Williams was booked around 1 a.m. and bonded out of jail shortly before 3 a.m.
Nola.com reports, Williams was pulled over for going 30 mph over the speed limit along the Crescent City Connection Bridge. Authorities pulled over Williams' car at the intersection of Camp Street and Andrew Higgins Boulevard. During the stop, Williams refused to take a breathalyzer test.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated, speeding, improper lane usage, careless driving, and failure to use a turn signal.
Williams was arrested on suspected DUI charges in 2015, but those charges were later dropped.
