ST. MARY PARISH- A missing Centerville woman was found deceased Sunday night.

KATC reports that Louisiana State Police say that at about 1:30 a.m. troopers were alerted to a single vehicle fatality on the US 90 Frontage Road near LA 3211 in Franklin. The crash, troopers say, took the life of 87-year-old Marian Tabb.

Tabb's family said she was last known to be headed to church around 8 a.m. Sunday morning in Centerville.

A preliminary investigation revealed Tabb was traveling east on US 90 Frontage Road in a 2002 Oldsmobile Alero. For reasons still under investigation, Tabb drove her vehicle through a wooden barricade where it entered a deep canal, according to authorities.

Troopers say Tabb was unable to exit her vehicle and sustained fatal injuries. Tabb was pronounced deceased by the St. Mary Parish Coroner's Office. The crash was discovered at 10 p.m. Sunday night. Troopers say impairment is not expected to be a factor in the crash, Tabb was restrained properly.
