Man pulling down building dies when roof collapses
FRANKLIN, La. - Franklin Fire Department officials say a man pulling down a building on his property was killed when the 10-by-20-foot roof fell onto him.
Charles Boudreaux, 68, died Saturday morning.
It took 20 minutes for a heavy rescue crew, two engine company crews and several support units to remove his body.
The St. Mary Parish Coroner's Office declared him dead at the scene.
The exact cause of the accident remains under investigation.
