Man killed in early morning crash
JACKSON - A single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning killed a man from Zachary.
Huston Lorio, 25, died when he lost control of his pickup, drove down an embankment and hit a tree on La. 964 west of Hwy. 955 in East Feliciana Parish. It appears that Lorio was the only person in the vehicle.
State Police crash investigators said Lorio was properly seatbelted, but still lost his life. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
As is typical in a deadly crash investigation, a toxicology sample will be taken and submitted for analysis. State Police said it was unknown if impairment was a factor in the crash.
