Man accused of robbing yogurt store
DENHAM SPRINGS - Police arrested a Denham Springs man this week in connection with the robbery of a frozen yogurt shop in the city.
Police said 31-year-old Andrew Mayeux faces robbery charges in Denham Springs and possibly other charges from the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office.
Menchie's in Denham Springs posted on their Facebook page that a man had robbed their store Tuesday night. The store said the man told the person working the register to give him all the money, and then fled the store.
Police said investigators found the man staying in a hotel nearby on Home Depot Boulevard. They said Mayuex was wearing the same clothing as the man who robbed the store, and confessed to the robbery while in the back of a police cruiser.
Officers said he will be booked into the Livingston Parish jail.
