Man accused of inappropriately touching teen
BATON ROUGE – A Baton Rouge man faces sexual battery charges after police say he inappropriately touched a 15-year-old last year.
Cedric Jermaine Franklin, 44, was charged with a felony count of sexual battery Sunday. He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
According to arrest records, Franklin had finished smoking marijuana with the teen on Dec. 24 when he asked to take a photo with her. The victim said she was preparing to take the photo when Franklin reached into her pants and touched her inappropriately.
The victim said she then went outside and tried to contact three different people, including her school counselor, to come pick her up. The counselor later told police that the victim was sobbing when she called her.
