In superintendent selection process, Ascension to hire search firm
DONALDSONVILLE- Wednesday, the school board in Ascension Parish will hear from search firms hoping to get the contract to find the system's next superintendent.
Earlier this year, current superintendent Patrice Pujol announced she would be retiring in the spring after working in the district for more than three decades. According to a spokesperson for the school district, Pujol has accepted a position as President of the National Institute for Excellence in Teaching.
The school district will hear from two national search firms about plans to look for Pujol's replacement.
