Hit and run causes heavy traffic on I-10 West near I-12 split

BATON ROUGE - Heavy traffic has developed in the area of I-10 West near the I-10/I-12 split due to a hit-and-run crash Tuesday.

According to DOTD, all lanes have reopened in the area, but traffic is still lingering. Congestion from the incident has reached Essen Lane.

According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, the closure was caused by a hit-and-run crash that occurred around 7:00 p.m.
