Founder of Spanish Town Parade dies of cancer
BATON ROUGE - One of the founders of the Spanish Town Mardi Gras Parade, Charles 'Fish' Fisher passed away Tuesday.
According to a post from the parade's Facebook page, Fisher died due to cancer Tuesday morning.
"His involvement with the parade has been invaluable and his presence at the parade and ball with his white tux and pink mustache is legendary," the post read.
Fisher had been an active part of the group and was considered the face of the parade for many years.
