Cazes lands re-election for WBR Sheriff
PORT ALLEN - Sheriff Mike Cazes easily won a fourth term as sheriff of West Baton Rouge Parish Saturday night against an opponent he previously defeated four years ago.
Cazes earned 73 percent of the vote in the parish, while Maranto received 26 percent.
Maranto, a military and law enforcement veteran, said he sought to increase transparency from the sheriff's office. Cazes said he would continue to do his best to protect the people of the parish.
