Cause of Goodwood Ave. house fire under investigation
BATON ROUGE- While returning to the firehouse after a previous fire, firefighters from the Baton Rouge Fire Department noticed a fire at a residence on Goodwood Avenue.
The fire took place at a vacant house in the 6000 block of Goodwood Avenue on Tuesday.
At the scene, firefighters found the garage fully engulfed in flames. The fire spread into the house, but firefighters were able to stop the house from being a total loss.
The rest of the house did receive heavy smoke and water damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
