BATON ROUGE - BREC will offer free admission to Liberty Lagoon this weekend to first responders and military personnel.

During "Hero Day" on Sunday those in the military, deputies and officers in East Baton Rouge Parish, and EMTs with proper identification can get into the park free.

"BREC hopes that this day will be a continued annual event to thank local first responders and their families for their efforts to the East Baton Rouge community," the department said.
