April has worked in the broadcast news business for more than 25 years, with a career spanning from Alaska to Colorado to the Carolinas. She grew up in the Upstate of South Carolina and graduated from the University of South Carolina with a BA in journalism.

She co-anchors 2une In every weekday, which was named the Best Large Market Morning Show in 2026 by the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters. April earned a regional Emmy in 2021 for Best Morning Newscast in Denver and a regional Edward R. Murrow Award for Excellence in Innovation in 2023 for mayoral election coverage in Jacksonville, Florida. She has also won multiple regional awards for Best Anchor, most recently in 2023.

She moved to Louisiana to be closer to her father and is enjoying exploring the Pelican State. When she isn't waking up early for 2une In, she enjoys hiking, going to the gym, kayaking, yoga, discovering new restaurants, and going on adventures with her dog, Daisy.
