Victim dies after North Donmoor shooting, police investigating
BATON ROUGE - Police have arrested two suspects in connection with an armed robbery that turned fatal back in June.
According to BRPD, 30-year-old Shatner Lewis and 33-year-old Sedrick Lewis were both charged in connection with the death of 33-year-old Sirroy Young of Alabama.
The shooting was reported on North Donmoor Ave. on June 4 around 10:36 p.m. According to a release, Young was shot multiple times while struggling with someone who was trying to rob him. He was taken to an area hospital where he died days later.
Sedrick Lewis was arrested in the week following the shooting. Shatner was arrested Thursday. Both are facing armed robbery and first-degree murder charges.
