Watson woman dies after head-on crash
WATSON- Louisiana State Police say a Watson woman died after being involved in a head-on crash in Livingston Parish.
According to State Police, the crash happened just after 6 p.m. on Saturday, January 23. Kristy Badeaux, 45, was driving on LA 1019 when her car drifted into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with another vehicle. Badeaux was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle. The other driver was properly restrained and was not injured in the crash.
Badeaux was transported to the hospital where she later died from her injuries.
Impairment is not suspected to be a factor, but toxicology samples were taken from both drivers for analysis.
