Report: Crawfish farmer tried to run over people catching crawfish in ditch
JEFFERSON DAVIS PARISH - Authorities have charged a man accused of attempting to run over a group of people that were catching crawfish in a ditch.
On April 18, deputies with the Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's Office were called to LA 26 at LA 1126 in reference to the incident, KATC reports. Authorities were provided video of a vehicle driving on the shoulder of the roadway near multiple people, including children.
The driver of the vehicle was later identified as Dwight Hollier. Authorities say Hollier owns a crawfish farm near the scene of the incident.
He was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. Hollier was released after posting a $500 bond.
