SLIDELL- Officers from the Slidell Police Department and agents from the FBI are investigating a bank robbery that took place Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities say shortly after 4:40 p.m., police responded to the First Castle Credit Union at 1402 Gause Boulevard after a female entered the bank, handed the teller a note and demanded cash. The female then fled the credit union with an undisclosed amount of money, walking towards the intersection of Rue Rochelle and Gause Boulevard.

Investigators believe the female suspect is the same person who robbed Chase Bank at 1943 Gause Boulevard East this past weekend.

The suspect is described as a heavy-set white female wearing light colored tights, a black shirt and a black "top hat."

Anyone with information on the woman is asked to call the Slidell Police Department at 985-643-3131 or the FBI at 504-816-3000.
