Mayor of Central calls for 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew
CENTRAL - City officials in Central have put a curfew into place until further notice.
A release from the Mayor of Central says the curfew will begin at 10 p.m. and run to 6 a.m.
The curfew will first go into effect at 10 p.m. Tuesday.
All of Central’s main thoroughfares were cut off on Sunday as nearby rivers overflowed. Hooper Road, Joor Road, Greenwell Springs Road and the Central Thruway were all blocked, making access to the area practically impossible.
