Iberia Parish disaster recovery center closing Nov. 14
NEW IBERIA – The Iberia Pairsh disaster recovery center at the Fire Protection District Training Center will close at 6 p.m. on Nov. 14.
The center is located at the Iberia Parish Fire Protection District Training Center at 2417 Darnall Road. Officials say that the need for the disaster recovery center in the area has diminished, leading to the facility's closure.
Disaster survivors who have registered with FEMA may visit any other disaster recovery center for face-to-face help. Centers are staffed by representatives from FEMA, representatives from the Small Business Administration and other disaster recovery experts.
Residents can find a facility near them by downloading the FEMA mobile app or going online to fema.gov/drc.
Residents can also call the FEMA helpline at 800-621-3362 or text DRC and your zip code to 43362. The FEMA helpline is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week until further notice.
